CapRock Wins Tiburon Divers Contract

Premier diving services company signs agreement for fleet-wide satellite communications

HOUSTON - October 17, 2006

Success in the commercial diving industry is driven by a record of strong safety performance and unmatched customer satisfaction. That's why Tiburon Divers, a premier commercial diving company servicing the inland and offshore sectors, turned to CapRock Communications. CapRock's world-class satellite communications solutions not only give Tiburon a critical lifeline between its offshore vessels and headquarters, but also real-time communications for all onboard personnel-an amenity seldom found within the diving industry.

Although initially awarded a contract for a single vessel, it didn't take long for Tiburon to see the significant benefits of broadband communications and award the entire fleet to CapRock to outfit with a similar communications package. Under the terms of the agreement, CapRock provides Tiburon's fleet of dive vessels with Voice over IP (VoIP), Internet access and wireless access points supported by 24/7 customer service and network monitoring.

"Safety is Tiburon's first priority," said Tiburon Divers President Steve Moses. "We have several programs to support this commitment, from emergency response training to first aid education. Having CapRock install communications onboard our vessels is just another important step in strengthening the safety of our customers and our divers while operating offshore. If there is an emergency, we know that help is only a call away."

Tiburon also uses CapRock's solutions to further enhance the services it provides to its customers while at sea. Always-on communications enable onboard customers to send and receive real-time information to and from experts onshore, resulting in quicker and more educated decision-making capabilities. It is no surprise that Tiburon's vessels have a strong advantage over competing vessels that are only equipped with slow, dial-up type services. And the benefits don't stop there. In a time where the supply of talented, experienced divers has not grown at the same pace as demand, diving companies need strong recruiting and retention tools more than ever. Offering divers the ability to communicate with family and friends back home while at sea is just another way of attracting and keeping the best divers in the business.

"Tiburon's decision to extend its relationship with CapRock from one vessel to the entire fleet is an honor for us," said CapRock President and COO Errol Olivier. "It is testament to CapRock's commitment to delivering on what it promises, which is uncompromising service and support. We look forward to continuing to work with Tiburon in the future."
